I am a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist, and I am dual trained in general adult and older adult psychiatry, in addition to my specialist training in liaison psychiatry.
I qualified from University of London in 2009. Prior to my medical training I attained a first-class degree in psychology and cognitive neuroscience from the University of Nottingham. During my psychiatric training I have published original research and book chapters across a range of psychiatric fields, with a particular interest in old age psychiatry, and I have won a number of prizes in quality improvement, including at a national level.
I completed my higher training in Oxford, and I am listed on the GMC specialist register for both general psychiatry and older adult psychiatry, and as a trainer. I currently work as a consultant liaison psychiatrist in the department of Psychological Medicine, which is based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. I work within the department of general medicine and across the four general hospitals in Oxfordshire covering emergency and urgent assessment and treatment.
I have expertise in diagnosing and treating the full range of psychiatric conditions from age 18 upwards. My areas of interest include: Neuropsychiatry, Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders and Dementia.
I have practiced in Oxford for many years and my role as a consultant psychiatrist in liaison psychiatry has given me extensive experience in working collaboratively across medical and psychiatric specialties. I am passionate about providing truly integrated and holistic care.
I treat adults of working age and older adults, from age 18 and above.
