Dr James Edmeades
I completed my medical education at the University of Leicester and have since developed particular interests in pain management, cardiology, geriatrics, and mental health. In addition to my clinical work, I hold a postgraduate certificate in business administration and have a keen interest in teaching and supporting the next generation of doctors. I believe strongly in a holistic, patient-centred approach to medicine, with an emphasis on both physical and psychological wellbeing. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, playing tennis & spending time with my children.
With extensive experience as both a Partner and Local Medical Director in major practices across London, Nottingham and Liverpool, over a career spanning more than 20 years, I provide a level of care that balances high-level clinical expertise with a deeply personal, calm approach. Having completed my medical training at the Universities of Nottingham and Leicester, my career has been defined by a commitment to clinical excellence and treating the person as an individual, not just the symptoms.
I believe that true health requires a bridge between physical and psychological well-being. My practice is built on calm, comprehensive , holistic care for my patients, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
I offer dedicated expertise in allergies, pain management, men’s health & geriatrics. I am currently available for appointments in Cobham every Wednesday & Thursday.
