A home kidney or urinary health test allows you to check key markers of kidney function or urinary tract health from the comfort of your own home. You simply collect a blood or urine sample using the kit provided, post it to our accredited UK laboratory, and receive your results securely online.
Home test kits provide the convenience of testing without visiting a clinic and use the same laboratory technology as in-clinic tests. However, accurate sample collection and prompt posting are important for reliable results. Some complex tests may still need in-person assessment.
You may consider a home kidney or urinary test if you have a family history of kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or symptoms such as swelling, fatigue, or changes in urination. These tests are also suitable for routine health monitoring.
Our tests come with clear, step-by-step instructions and all the equipment you need. For blood tests, you will use a finger-prick lancet and collection card. For urine tests, you collect a midstream sample in a sterile container. Once done, simply return your sample to the lab using the prepaid envelope provided.
Once your sample reaches the laboratory, most kidney and urinary health tests are processed within 1–2 working days. You’ll receive a secure notification and can view your results online, with an optional GP follow-up available if you’d like to discuss results in more detail.
