Fasting is not usually required for a creatinine and eGFR home blood test. However, avoid heavy exercise and stay hydrated before sampling to help ensure accurate readings.
Our home blood testing kit uses the TDL Tiny self-collection system, validated to provide accurate creatinine and eGFR measurements comparable to clinic-drawn samples. Follow the included instructions carefully for best results.
Collect your small-volume blood sample using the lancet and TDL Tiny kit provided. Apply drops of capillary blood to the collection card, seal per instructions, and return via the prepaid mailer. Detailed steps are in the kit guide.
Your eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) reflects how well your kidneys filter waste. A normal eGFR is usually above 90 mL/min/1.73 m². Lower values may suggest reduced kidney function and should be reviewed by a healthcare professional.
Once our lab receives your TDL Tiny sample, results are typically available within 2–3 working days. We’ll notify you by email or SMS when you can view your secure online report.
