How we can help your mental health

At Mayfield Clinic, we understand that psychological health is paramount to everyone's functioning and wellbeing. That's why our private doctors provide evidence-based treatment for a wide range of psychological problems. Our psychologists are experienced and highly qualified. They offer both in-person appointments in Oxford and appointments via video.

How will it work?

Our psychological interventions always begin with a robust assessment. We use a combination of methods to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the patient, including psychometric testing where relevant. We consider how past and present factors contribute to the development of psychological disorders.

Upon the conclusion of this assessment, our team will then utilise a range of psychological interventions that are well evidenced, clinically proven, in line with national treatment guidelines, and suited to the individual profile and problem.

What mental health treatments do we use?

Clinically we work with people to address a range of problems including anxiety, depression, panic disorder, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, sleep difficulties, self-esteem, assertiveness, body image, personality difficulties, and emotional functioning.

Our psychologists also have specialist skills in assessing, diagnosing, and managing neuro-developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and Learning Disability.
