Dr Francis Carnegy graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2006. He completed his GP training in the Scottish Borders in 2013. He has had a varied and exciting career as a doctor both at home and abroad. This has ranged from being a solo GP on remote Scottish islands to 3 years working away in the spectacular Shuswap region of British Columbia. He also holds a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and has worked for brief stints in Mozambique and Zambia.
Dr Carnegy has previously worked as a private GP in London and Edinburgh. In 2020 he finally settled in Devon with his family and also works locally as an NHS GP Partner in the South Hams.
Being a GP, he is eager to see any problem in both young and old but has a particular interest in care of the elderly and tropical medicine. Outside medicine, you'll find him running around after his 3 young daughters and paddling on the water when time allows.
