What do we test for?

Candida (Culture)

A common yeast that can overgrow and cause itching, discharge and discomfort. Culture testing ensures accurate identification of yeast infections.

Gardnerella vaginalis (PCR)

The main bacteria behind bacterial vaginosis. PCR testing detects even low levels to confirm BV and guide treatment.

Mycoplasma genitalium

A sexually transmitted bacterium that can cause urethritis or vaginitis. Early detection helps prevent complications.

Trichomonas vaginalis (PCR)

A protozoan parasite responsible for trichomoniasis. PCR testing is highly sensitive, making at-home trichomonas testing reliable.

Ureaplasma urealyticum

A bacteria sometimes linked to vaginitis and urinary symptoms. Detecting it can clarify persistent or unexplained discharge.

How will this help you?

What is the Vaginitis & BV Swab Test?

The Vaginitis/BV Profile is an at-home vaginal swab test kit that helps identify the most common causes of vaginitis and bacterial vaginosis (BV). Using both culture and PCR methods, it checks for yeast infections, BV bacteria and sexually transmitted organisms—so you know exactly what’s causing your symptoms.

What’s Included in the Test?
