:Many countries require you to have a medical check before they will allow you entry and the medical entry requirements may vary between countries. Mayfield Clinic can provide you with the travel medical documentation you need as quickly and efficiently as possible to give you a stress-free experience.
Simple travel medicals are usually 1-2 pages at most and during your travel medical appointment, the GP will complete the required examination and travel form. However additional tests may be required, so please check the specific medical requirements of the country you are going.
Immunisation can be discussed during the appointment, but a separate appointment must be booked for to administer any immunisations you may need.
A certificate of health is an official document provided by a doctor which confirms you meet the health requirements of a destination country.
We maintain multiple laboratory relationships ensuring we can provide you with a range of blood tests and other pathology services.
We are able to take urine samples to complete your certificate of health travel medical.
Mayfield's GPs are available to assist in caring for your sexual health. This can include testing and managing STIs (e.g., HIV, Gonorrhoea, Syphillis) or contraception and family planning.
At the end of your appointment you will be provided with a copy of your vaccination details; this immunisation record can be obtained again in the future for an additional £30.
If you are unsure which vaccination(s) you require, please book a GP appointment - we are unable to advise about vaccines within a standard vaccination consultation which is just for administering the vaccine.
At Mayfield Clinic, we can offer a wide range of required travel tests, including bloodwork and STI testing, among others. We also provide a comprehensive service for any Covid requirements your travel destination may have in place.
Travel medicals are usually needed for most countries outside of the UK and Europe if applying for a visa to either work in the country or for a long term residential travel visa. Please check the entry requirements of the country and the terms of your visa to see if you need a travel medical to gain entry to the country.
At Mayfield Clinic, we know the importance of seeing a GP quickly which is why we aim to offer same day or next day appointments within clinic opening hours. If you require tests with your travel medical, these will be sent to the lab for testing and once the results are back, the travel forms will be completed and sent to you.
You can use Mayfield Clinic alongside your existing NHS GP practice. We believe in joined-up care; we don’t believe that it is in your best interests to have different doctors independently trying to treat you. For this reason, once you’ve seen a Mayfield Clinic GP we aim (with your permission) to share your consultation notes back with your current NHS GP. For example, if you can’t get an appointment at your local GP practice this week, you can book in with Mayfield Clinic’s GPs. With your consent, we’ll share the Mayfield Clinic consultation notes back with you and your NHS GP, so that when you next see your NHS GP they will have a full picture of your care history.

Alternatively, parking is available for £2 per hour in the Summertown Car Park, only a 2-minute walk from Mayfield Clinic.
Mayfield Clinic London is located in in Lower Sloane Street, just off the King's Road. Sloane square car park is a short walk away from the clinic and the nearest tube station is Sloane Square which is on the district and circle lines. There is also a bus stop at this station,
