Gentle, expert care for your newborn and infant. Our Consultant Paediatrician, Nicholas Richens, provides thorough newborn checks and practical support for the early months. We assess feeding, weight gain, jaundice, hips, heart and lungs, and talk through sleep, soothing and development so you leave confident and informed.

Feeding and sleep support: Whether breast, bottle or combination feeding, we’ll review technique, volumes, frequency and settling strategies. We tailor sleep guidance to your baby’s age and your family’s routine—focusing on safe sleep, realistic expectations and gentle habits that last.

Reflux and colic care: We help distinguish common reflux, cow’s milk protein allergy, colic and other causes of distress. Care may include positional changes, winding, feed adjustments, trial formulas or maternal diet advice where appropriate, and medication only when indicated. We’ll always check for red flags and arrange tests if needed.

Early infant health: From rashes and infections to constipation, tongue‑tie concerns and immunisation advice, we provide clear guidance and prompt treatment plans. We coordinate referrals and follow‑up when necessary, keeping your GP informed. Appointments are unhurried, family‑centred and delivered at our Oxford clinic for babies and children up to 18 years.
