Our General Child Health service provides thorough, unhurried appointments with Consultant Paediatrician Dr Nicholas Richens, available at our Oxford site for children and young people up to 18. We offer careful assessment, clear explanations and practical treatment plans so you can feel confident about the next steps.

We help with newborn and infant issues (feeding, reflux, unsettled behaviour), common infections (fever, coughs, colds, sore throats, earache), skin problems (rashes, eczema, impetigo), tummy pain and constipation, wheeze and asthma reviews, allergies and hay fever, headaches, urinary symptoms, sleep difficulties, growth concerns, minor injuries, and school health queries. We also support emotional wellbeing and early behavioural concerns.

During your visit we will listen, examine and, where indicated, recommend evidence-based management. This may include private prescriptions, targeted tests, safety-netting advice, and timely referral to imaging or trusted specialists. With your consent we can share a summary with your NHS GP for joined-up care. If something needs urgent attention, we’ll guide you swiftly to the right place.
