Elastase is a digestive enzyme produced by the pancreas. Measuring elastase in stool helps assess exocrine pancreatic function and can identify conditions like chronic pancreatitis or pancreatic insufficiency.
The Pancreatic Elastase Stool Test measures the concentration of elastase – a digestive enzyme made by the pancreas – in your faeces. Elastase helps break down proteins and is a reliable marker of exocrine pancreatic function. This at-home test offers a non-invasive alternative to blood test kits and lets you test elastase levels at home.
Follow the instructions carefully to collect a small stool sample using the provided faecal container. Seal the pot, complete the lab form, and drop the prepaid envelope at your nearest post office. No needles or blood draws are required—ideal for those preferring home testing kits.
“Our at-home Elastase stool test lets you monitor pancreatic health from the comfort of your own home, without the need for clinic appointments or blood draws.”
The Pancreatic Elastase Stool Test measures the level of elastase – a key digestive enzyme produced by the pancreas – in your stool sample. It assesses exocrine pancreatic function and helps identify conditions like chronic pancreatitis or pancreatic insufficiency.
Collect a small stool sample at home using the supplied faecal container, seal it per the instructions, and send it in the prepaid envelope to our accredited lab. Results are typically available in 3–5 working days.
Normal pancreatic elastase levels in stool are usually above 200 µg/g. Levels between 100–200 µg/g may indicate mild insufficiency, while levels under 100 µg/g suggest moderate to severe exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Always review results with a GP.
Our at-home Elastase stool test kit is >95% accurate when instructions are followed. It provides a non-invasive alternative to traditional blood test kits for assessing pancreatic function.
If you take pancreatic enzyme supplements, continue as directed by your doctor. Inform your GP when you send your sample, as supplements can influence results. Your GP follow-up appointment can help interpret your results in context.
Get started by choosing the right at-home blood test kit for your needs — whether it's for cholesterol, thyroid, vitamin levels, or general health screening. Your kit is delivered in discreet, secure packaging.
Using our easy-to-follow instructions, collect a small blood sample with the included lancet and tube. No need for a clinic visit — everything you need for accurate testing is in the kit.
Place your sample in the prepaid return envelope and post it to our certified partner lab. Our labs follow the highest standards to ensure fast, reliable blood analysis.
You’ll receive a text message with your results as soon as they’re ready — usually within 1–3 days. A full lab report is included, giving you a clear breakdown of your blood test findings. Need help understanding your results? You can book a follow-up consultation with one of our clinicians at any time.
