A type of fat (lipid) used to store unused calories. High levels can increase cardiovascular risk.
The sum of all cholesterol types in your blood. Elevated levels are linked to heart disease.
Known as “good” cholesterol. It helps remove excess cholesterol from arteries.
Often called “bad” cholesterol. High LDL can lead to plaque buildup in arteries.
Total cholesterol minus HDL. A broader indicator of heart disease risk than LDL alone.
The Lipid Profile is an at-home blood test kit designed to measure the key fats in your bloodstream. It provides a comprehensive snapshot of your cardiovascular health by analysing triglycerides and cholesterol fractions.
This at-home blood test is ideal if you:
“Self-collecting your blood sample is simple: warm your finger, use the lancet, and fill the capillary tubes. Then, seal and post.”
1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
2. Warm your fingertip to increase blood flow.
3. Use the lancet to make a small prick.
4. Collect blood in the TDL Tiny capillary tubes until indicated volume is reached.
5. Place tubes in the bio-safe pouch and return via the prepaid courier.
Your at-home Lipid Profile blood test kit is highly accurate when used correctly. Our TDL Tiny collection kit uses proven methodology for precise measurement of triglycerides and cholesterol fractions. For best results, follow the instructions carefully, ensure your hands are warm, and collect the recommended blood volume.
Ideally, you should fast for 9–12 hours before collecting your sample. Water is permitted. Fasting reduces the variability in triglyceride and LDL measurements, ensuring more reliable results.
After collection, seal your sample in the provided bio‐safe packaging and send it to our UK-based laboratory using the prepaid courier label. You can expect results within 2–4 working days of arrival.
A Lipid Profile is recommended for adults with a family history of heart disease, high cholesterol, or those monitoring cardiovascular risk. Speak to your GP if you are on lipid-lowering medication or have recent health changes.
Yes. We offer an optional GP follow‐up appointment (in-person or video consultation) for an additional fee. Your GP can explain results, suggest lifestyle changes, or recommend further testing.

You’ll receive a text message with your results as soon as they’re ready — usually within 1–3 days. A full lab report is included, giving you a clear breakdown of your blood test findings.
