Founded in Oxford in 2009, we have expanded nationally and have opened a practice in Cobham, bringing our high-quality primary care to Surrey. We are looking for an experienced, self-sufficient GP to join our growing team in Cobham. This role offers the opportunity to practise high-quality, unhurried medicine with a strong emphasis on continuity of care. You will work independently, managing consultations, diagnostics, blood tests, and vaccinations without nurse support. As part of our expanding private GP service in Surrey, you will provide care to patients across Cobham and surrounding areas, helping to meet the increasing demand for accessible, high-quality primary healthcare.
A private GP provides healthcare services outside the NHS, which means we have more flexibility, can provide longer consultation times, and can deliver more personalised care. Private GPs - like those at Mayfield Clinic - manage consultations, diagnostics, and minor procedures without nurse support, allowing for a seamless experience with NHS-standard digital systems.
To join Mayfield Clinic as a private GP, candidates must be GMC-registered and have a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience. We seek GPs who are fully self-sufficient, with experience in blood tests, vaccinations, and minor procedures, and who can handle a wide range of primary care presentations.
Private GPs at Mayfield Clinic are required to commit to a minimum of two sessions per week, with the potential for additional sessions. We also ask for 47 weeks per year of availability (allowing 25 days of annual leave, pro-rated), to ensure continuity of care for our patients.
