A common bacterial STI that can cause urethritis and cervicitis. Early detection prevents complications like pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.
Often present in bacterial vaginosis. Identifying Gardnerella helps distinguish BV from other STIs for targeted treatment.
Viruses that cause oral (HSV-1) and genital (HSV-2) herpes. PCR detection identifies active infections even when lesions are small or absent.
An emerging bacterial STI linked to urethritis and cervicitis. Early treatment reduces the risk of chronic infection and reproductive issues.

A parasitic infection causing itching and discharge. Prompt treatment alleviates symptoms and reduces transmission risk.
Bacteria associated with non-specific urethritis. Detecting Ureaplasma helps guide appropriate antibiotic therapy.
The STI PCR Profile is a comprehensive at-home screening panel that detects seven common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) using highly sensitive PCR technology. Performed with a single self-collected sample, it’s part of our wider range of home blood testing kits and at-home blood tests, offering you convenience and confidentiality.
This test is important if you are sexually active and want peace of mind regarding infections such as chlamydia or gonorrhoea. It’s ideal for:
Follow these simple steps for accurate results:
“Get reliable, private results without stepping into a clinic – test for chlamydia at home, gonorrhoea blood test kit alternatives, and more.”
No GP consultation is strictly required to order, but our GP-led service means you can book a follow-up appointment (in person or via video) for a full clinical review of your results. Additional fees apply.
The STI PCR Profile uses highly sensitive nucleic acid amplification (PCR) to detect the genetic material of each infection. Clinical studies show over 95% accuracy for Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae when samples are collected correctly.
You can collect a first-catch urine sample or a multisite swab (throat, vaginal, rectal) at home according to the instructions. Simply label your sample, place it in the provided biohazard bag, and post it to our UK laboratory.
