If you are struggling with your mental health, our highly experienced Clinical Psychologist is here to help. Following a detailed psychological assessment, Dr Schnack can provide you with access to high quality, evidence based psychological treatments.
We are only able to consider new patients for Dr Schnack that are from Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire areas.
We require a GP referral for all initial appointments with Dr Schnack. The clinic considers each referral carefully prior to acceptance, to ensure it falls within the scope of our work, and that it meets our service requirements. Please email your referral to info@mayfieldclinic.co.uk and we will be in touch.
If you have already had an initial appointment with Dr Schnack, you can book your follow up appointment online.
Appointments are generally available in person in Oxford or online, this may be subject to change based on your care and treatment.

Appointments can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance via your online account (Please log in here). Within 24 hours, appointments cannot be rescheduled.
Appointments can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund (Please log in to your account here). Within 24 hours appointments are non-refundable.
Our clinicians do not routinely provide written reports of their findings. If a report is required, this will be billed at the clinician's standard hourly rate.
Mayfield Clinic is not an emergency service and so we do not treat emergencies. If you think you have a medical emergency, please call 111/999 or go to your nearest A&E department.

We understand how worrying unexplained health concerns can be and the importance of quick diagnosis and treatment which is why we are proud to be able to offer a selection of same day or next day GP appointments within clinic opening hours.
We have carefully selected team of expert GPs who are available for both in person and video GP consultations. By working with a small team of GPs, you will benefit from having a named doctor who you can consistently book your appointments with, and who knows your medical history.

By booking a private GP appointment at Mayfield Clinic, you will benefit from a defined 30-minute consultation with an expert GP. This allows you the time to discuss your health concern in full, receive detailed advice or information on your treatment plan and to ask any questions you may have.
By booking an appointment at Mayfield Clinic, you will have direct doctor interaction from the outset.
Unlike other GP provisions, we don’t require you to complete an online e-consult form before being able to book to see a GP. Simply visit our website to book your appointment where you will be able to discuss your health concerns directly with a doctor.
Should you need a referral following your GP appointment, our team have access to a network of trusted specialists.

Our private GPs are all trained in mental health and can provide you with assessment and support and refer you to our psychiatrist or psychologist if required. Our psychiatrist and psychologist are highly experienced and qualified and offer both in person appointments in Oxford and online appointments nationwide.
Mental Health Assessments
Our work always begins with a robust assessment, we use a combination of methods to obtain a comprehensive understanding (including psychometric testing where relevant) of how past and present factors contribute to the development of psychological disorders. Upon the conclusion of this assessment, we utilise a range of psychological interventions that are well evidenced, clinically proven, in line with national treatment guidelines, and suited to the individual profile and problem.
Clinical Treatments
Clinically we work with people to address a range of problems including anxiety, depression, panic disorder, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, sleep difficulties, self-esteem, assertiveness, body image, personality difficulties, and emotional functioning. Our psychologists also have specialist skills in assessing, diagnosing, and managing Neuro-developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and Learning Disability.
Mayfield Clinic Oxford is conveniently located on Banbury Road in the Summertown neighbourhood of North Oxford. The Oxford Parkway Park and Ride station, located on the Banbury Road about a mile north of Summertown, provides frequent bus service into the city. Alternatively, parking is available for £2 per hour in the Summertown Car Park, only a 2-minute walk from Mayfield Clinic.
