I've been a GP for 25 years, working both in the NHS and privately in London, Australia and Oxford.
I founded Mayfield in 2010 after realising that dedicated extra time with patients makes a huge difference to their care.
I completed my degree at Oxford University and worked in a range of specialities before becoming a GP. I love working for Mayfield, delivering high quality care to all my patients.
I enjoy running and cooking in my spare time.

Hair loss can often be nothing to worry about and is just a part of ageing. In some cases, hair loss can be a result of a medical condition. Hair conditions include alopecia, male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness. Hair loss can sometimes only last for a short period of time and then can grow back or can be a permanent loss of hair.
It is normal to lose some hair and the average adult will lose around 50-100 hairs per day and this is nothing to worry about. In some cases, hair loss can be associated with an illness, stress, iron deficiency or medication. There are some hair conditions such as alopecia and male or female pattern baldness which can run in the family.
If your hair loss is causing you discomfort or upset, a GP can help. If you are worried, have sudden hair loss, have developed bald patches, clumps of hair are falling out or your head is itching and burning, you should see a GP. Hair loss can also be a sign of another illness which may need investigating. Your GP will be able to assess your hair loss and identify what is causing the hair loss and if appropriate, recommend treatment options or referral to a specialist.
You can use Mayfield Clinic alongside your existing NHS GP practice. We believe in joined-up care; we don’t believe that it is in your best interests to have different doctors independently trying to treat you. For this reason, once you’ve seen a Mayfield Clinic GP we aim (with your permission) to share your consultation notes back with your current NHS GP.
For example, if you can’t get an appointment at your local GP practice this week, you can book in with Mayfield Clinic’s GPs. With your consent, we’ll share the Mayfield Clinic consultation notes back with you and your NHS GP, so that when you next see your NHS GP they will have a full picture of your care history.
Here at Mayfield Clinic, we understand that waiting for your NHS GP can be time-consuming and frustrating and when you have a medical concern you want to get seen quickly to alleviate the symptoms. We work with leading practitioners, trained and worked for the NHS, registered with the General Medical Council, and work under Mayfield Clinic's CQC registration.
Accessing an Oxford based GP from the comfort of your own home is easy.
