Our private GPs can discuss all cold or flu issues, whether you want to discuss symptoms or vaccination. They can carry out an assessment and discuss your symptoms to decide whether further tests are needed or what the best course of treatment for you will be.

Book an in-person appointment with one of our Mayfield GPs in Oxford and London, or an online consultation available nationwide.

What we treat

Speak to our GPs about the symptoms of your cold or flu, such as congestion, cough, sore throat and more

Our GPs can work with you to develop a treatment plan to ease your symptoms and assist in your speedy recovery.

Keep safe this winter by immunising yourself against the flu, and making sure you have access to flu tests. Both tests and vaccinations are available in Mayfield Clinic.

Any Questions?

We offer two types of vaccination; a standard intramuscular vaccine for those aged under 65, and a Fluad Tetra vaccine for those aged 65 or over.

We will not prescribe antibiotics to treat the flu

In general, flu is worse than the common cold, and symptoms are typically more intense and begin more abruptly. Colds are usually milder than flu. People with colds are more likely to have a runny or stuffy nose than people who have flu.

Consult a doctor if your fever gets better, then suddenly worsens, your symptoms don't improve within two weeks, you can't get rid of your cough or your cough begins producing thick mucus, or if pain is concentrated in a single area (like your ear, chest, or sinuses)
