We will not prescribe antibiotics to treat the flu
In general, flu is worse than the common cold, and symptoms are typically more intense and begin more abruptly. Colds are usually milder than flu. People with colds are more likely to have a runny or stuffy nose than people who have flu.
Consult a doctor if your fever gets better, then suddenly worsens, your symptoms don't improve within two weeks, you can't get rid of your cough or your cough begins producing thick mucus, or if pain is concentrated in a single area (like your ear, chest, or sinuses)
Here at Mayfield Clinic, we understand that waiting for your NHS GP can be time-consuming and frustrating. That's why we offer same-day appointments with our expertly trained doctors, both in-person and online, through video consultations.
Our GPs can provide first-class private healthcare. We work with leading practitioners, trained and worked for the NHS, registered with the General Medical Council, and work under Mayfield Clinic's CQC registration.
