Certificate Of Recovery From COVID-19

Posted: 19/07/2021

Some foreign countries accept certificates confirming recovery from COVID-19 (during the last 6 months) as sufficient to enter the country.

Our GPs in Oxford can assess and where appropriate issue a certificate of recovery from COVID-19. This can be issued no earlier than 11 days after the initial positive SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test. You should attend your appointment with your positive test results, and photo ID.

The appointment will last 15 minutes, and can be booked online below.

Had a positive COVID test in the last 6 months? Instead of risking a positive PCR test, many countries will now accept a COVID-19 Certificate of Recovery as a method of meeting entry requirements.

The Certificate confirms recent infection with SARS-CoV-2 via PCR, and your subsequent recovery. We offer this as an online submission service, so no need to visit the clinic!

To obtain a Certificate of Recovery you must have the following:

  • A positive result no more than 180 days old, with your full name, date of birth and the test date (this varies depending on destination, please check before booking)
  • You must not have symptoms of a cough or fever
  • You can access the service on Day 8, with Day 0 being the day the positive test was taken, as long as you have completed your government mandated isolation period and produced two negative LFTs 24 hours apart.
  • Please note, that for travel to Austria you will only be able to access the service on Day 15.

To receive the Certificate of Recovery you will need to complete an online submission which will be reviewed by a healthcare professional.

Certificates can only be issued during our opening hours (Monday-Friday 9am-6:00pm) but you can make your submission at any time.
